Tiger Woods Foundation Supports RCEF

Good news! We are pleased to announce that RCEF will receive a $25,000 grant from the Tiger Woods Foundation, which supports organizations focused on youth education and character development. Since 1996, TWF has positively affected the lives of an estimated 10 million young people and dispersed more than $30 million to communities nationwide through direct grants and scholarships. The grant will be used for our Integrative Rural Education Program, which provides year-round teacher professional development and promotes whole-school reform.” The Tiger Woods Foundation believes in supporting organizations that make a real difference in their local communities,” Tiger Woods Foundation President Greg McLaughlin said. “We hope this grant helps increase community awareness for the Rural China Education Foundation, enabling it to continue service to the youth of rural China.” Established in 1996 by Tiger Woods and his father Earl, the Tiger Woods Foundation empowers young people to reach their highest potential by initiating and supporting community-based programs that promote the health, education and welfare of all children.
