How did you find out about RCEF?
Question No. 17 on the Committee Volunteer Application is, “How did you hear about RCEF?” Today, we got an application that said, “第一次是从家人口中得知,家人也是从电视台的某个记录片中了解的,当时比较关注创办者的经历,没过多久后就在北师大校园里看到了乡村教育促进会的宣传海报.” That is, the applicant’s parents probably saw the European-born Chinese TV Documentary that featured Wei Ji Ma and then the applicant saw RCEF’s posters around campus. These are probably the colorful and upbeat recruitment posters that Luyi Fan designed to advertise for the Teaching Fellows Program. How did you first find out about RCEF?

Added on December 30th, 2007 at %0:%Dec %pPurely by coincidence. In one of the newsletter sent by my uni’s chinese society, there was a short advertisement of another NGO, also a summer program (more of a library project i think), i applied for them first, and at my telephone interview, realizing their program time crushes with my exam time, so my interviewer recommended RCEF to me. Suppose that’s how I found out about RCEF

Added on December 31st, 2007 at %0:%Dec %pI first heard of RCEF from my friend who applied to volunteer the past summer. Then another of my friend recommended RCEF website to me as he knows of my interests in rural education. It is less exciting than Suqin’s story… but that’s how I found out.
